Long-distance or ‘deep-sea’ shipping is our original area of expertise, and it still forms a vital part of our business today.
We specialise in bringing in loads from destinations all over the world – everywhere from Europe, Turkey and China to South America, Pakistan and India.
Although we’re based in Felixstowe, we can bring goods into any UK port of your choice, and take care of customs clearance on arrival. Unlike some forwarders, who only have links with major ports, we now hold customs badges for over 50 UK ports. With such an extensive network, we can handle your incoming shipment no matter what route you plan to take.
Goods travelling the other way? We can also handle your exports out of the UK, and oversee freight forwarding in the destination country.
We’re happy to handle any type of load, including food and drink or animal feeds. If there are port health issues to sort out, we can take care of those too.
As part of our service, we can arrange marine insurance for loads of any type and value.
We can handle either full-container loads (FCL) for 20ft or 40ft containers, as well as less-than-container (LCL) loads if required.
When we book ocean freight FCL or LCL we make sure there are no hidden surprises or over inflated costs.
If you wish, we can act as an NVOCC (non-vessel-owning common carrier), acting as an intermediary to deal with shipping companies on your behalf.
We can combine sea freight with road freight as required, or transport your shipment door to door with our full international freight forwarding service, with inland distribution to see your load right through to its final destination.
If your load needs to be broken up into smaller shipments before final delivery, we can manage that on your behalf with our de-consolidation service.
